The Farmory—a growing nonprofit serving communities in and around Green Bay, Wisconsin — is seeking an Executive Director to advance our mission and exemplify our values. We are a team dedicated to sustainable agriculture, with a focus on aquaculture and aquaponics. The Farmory aims to:
- Invigorate and lead the Aquaculture industry in Wisconsin
- Become self-sustaining via our indoor commercial fish hatchery and aquaponics system
- Promote education and offer workforce development to community members through
our FarmoryWorks programs
Type of Job: Full-time, including standard benefits
Supervisors: The Farmory Board of Directors’ Executive Committee
Key Responsibilities:
- Support, model and always maintain the values and culture of the organization, along with The Farmory’s philosophy and goals
- Evaluate and identify innovative ways to utilize limited revenue to support and grow operations and programming
- Acknowledge the potential of The Farmory staff by providing professional development and leadership
- Create a team environment that is welcoming, communicative, productive, and allows for personal growth
- Communicate efficiently and effectively with team members, including the Board of Directors and Committee Chairs
- Remain organized, and balance the various initiatives of The Farmory
- Establish resource development strategies, research and develop local, state, and national funding opportunities
- Nurture and engage with current and prospective donors and contacts to promote The Farmory
Preferred Qualifications:
Non-profit leadership experience
- Community networking
- Goal-orientated mindset
- Public speaking
- Proficient in use of technology for research, communications, database management, financial analysis, planning, and budgeting
Physical Requirements:
- Lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Frequent standing and sitting
- Ability to focus for long periods of time
- Ability to reach, stoop, and lift
